Jazz Jazz was created by the African slaves in the plantations of America. Jazz was sometimes referred to as classic jazz, traditional jazz, or even Dixieland jazz. Jazz sounds slow, fast, happy, sad, gloomy, angry, crazy, peaceful, soft, heavy, light, dark, groovy, outdated. The instruments: trumpet, clarinet, and the saxophone influence the sound of jazz. Jazz makes me tap my feet and clap my hands together at the same time.
