3 NDSA Portal Navigate to:

4 Usernames and Passwords You must have an authorized username and password in order to access the secure portion of the NDSA Portal. Access to the Reporting application within the Smarter Balanced application suite is based on your assigned role and permissions. Your login information is private and should not be shared with anyone else.

6 Entering the Reporting Application Your role determines which icon you see upon Login. You will see one or more of the icons below:

7 Reporting Roles All District and School Test Coordinators, as well as Test Administrators, have access to the Reporting application in North Dakota. Reporting views are limited by role; for instance, DCs will see district, school, and student data, while SCs will see school and student data only.

8 Overview The Smarter Balanced Reporting System is an interactive, online reporting platform that provides a range of reports on the Smarter Balanced summative and interim assessments. Reports provide aggregate score data at the state, district, school, and grade level. Aggregate reports can be viewed onscreen or downloaded as.csv files, and Individual Student Reports can be downloaded as.pdf files.

9 District View At logon, a district-level user will see the following page, which displays all of the schools in the district(s): NOTE: This presentation uses DEMO data only. No real data is depicted.

10 Using Filters Select a school or schools using the checkboxes, and then click the Apply Filter button to limit a lengthy list. Select Show All Schools to remove filter. The checkboxes also allow the user to determine which data is included in a download.

11 Downloading Results District and School Results downloads are available in.csv format. Select the district(s) or school(s) to include using the checkboxes. Click the Download icon.

12 Downloading Results The pop-up menu shows the available options, based on a user’s role/permissions. Make a selection, then click the Download button. For results, Measured Progress will be providing printed parent copy Individual Student Results reports, as well as Individual Student Results school file labels!

13 Views: Schools, Grades, Students

14 Individual Student Reports The Individual Student Report displays results for one student on one assessment at a time. A user may navigate to other individual reports for this student via the Assessment Selector.

15 Additional Features Legend: The legend provides a key to visual elements of the student report. Printing: The printed Individual Student Results report contains all visible content from the report, as well as content presented in popup windows.

16 Score Displays: Scale and Achievement Level The report displays overall scale scores and Achievement Levels for the assessment selected.

17 Score Displays: Claim Level For each subject’s Claims, descriptions of what each measures and what performing at a specific Level indicates about a student’s mastery of the standards are displayed.

For questions regarding the online testing system or paper and pencil administration, please contact: – NDSA Service Desk at (800) or – The NDSA Service Desk is open: – Monday through Friday, 6:00AM to 6:00PM CST during the summative test administration window, and – Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM CT prior to/following the summative test administration window.
