Immigration : US and Mexico

US / Mexican Border Border stretches from San Diego, CA/Tijuana, MX to Brownsville, TX. The border is 1,969 miles long. It stretches along the southern boundaries of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

Border Patrol Sign

Secure Fence Act of 2006 The Law authorized and partially funded the "possible" construction of 700 miles of physical fence/barriers along the border. By January 2010, the fence project has been completed from San Diego, California, to Yuma, Arizona. From there it will continue into Texas. The fence is 21 feet tall and 6 feet deep in the ground. All fence sections are south of the All American Canal, and have access roads giving border guards the ability to reach any point easily.
