 Dental Health For all you dudes out there trying make a good impression! Peter DiSalvo SPT, Consult from Carrie McNeil and Sarah Kate McMullin (students of Dental Hygiene)

Tips for Brushing Your Teeth!  Teenagers need to be very effective with brushing, they have the highest rate of cavities!  Brush 2x/day for 2 min, listen to your favorite song during it! Just don’t try to sing…  Bacteria hide under the gums, so try to angle your brush right towards those guys!  As much as you think stiff bristled brushed are working more, you need one that got soft bristles, those are less likely to irritate/injure your gums.

Just the Tips (cont.)  Try to replace your toothbrush every 3-4 months  A worn out tooth brush can injure your gums and is not very effective.  When shopping, or asking your mom to, get toothpaste that contains fluoride, that will help to strengthen your teeth and help to prevent cavities!
