How is World War 2 Like Chess? By Cleo Tishler

World War II  World War II is quite like chess when you think about it. There was 2 sides in World War II. The Allies and the Axis.  The Axis was the military and political alliance of Germany, Italy, and, later on, Japan. In other words the bad guys.  However, the Allies of war were the good guys. Including, England, Australia, America, and Russia.  Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill were the leaders of each side, so basically the Kings of World War II.

Chess  Chess really is like World War 2. As it is like life, and with life comes war. War to, is an endeavor to outsmart your opponent.  There is 2 sides to chess as there is 2 sides to war, Black and white.  I myself prefer, when I play chess to be the Black side, but that is of cause my personal opinion. You might prefer to be white.  You have to kings in Chess (one black and one white), they are quite opposite people, just as Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill were different people.

Winston Churchill Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler War Soldiers All of these men took part in World War II. Adolf Hitler shot himself in the head with a pistol on April 30, 1945, he shot himself not long before the war finished. When he died it saved it the lives of the soldiers and people that were constantly attempting to kill him. The war soldiers are now heroes in history, they died fighting and will always be remembered. Winston Churchill had a stroke on the 15 th of January, he died 9 days later on the 24 th of January 1965.
