My Dream Career:Fashion Designer By:Jessica Tinaza

What They Do What a fashion designer does is they design clothing and accessories for manufacturers and for sale directly to the public. May follow established fashion trends or create new designs that influence trends.

Skills Needed To be a fashion designer you need to have the following skills.  You need to be able to create fashion and style designs.  You need to be able to design and arrange objects.  You need to be able to operate computers to lay out designs and colors

Skills Needed Continued  You need to be able to sketch original designs for materials and products.  You need to be able to work as a member of a design team.

Basic Skills A fashion designer needs to have reading comprehension,active listening,critical thinking,active learning,learning strategies,and monitoring skills!

Interests and Values Some one that would want to be a fashion designer would have to have values of achievement and independence.

Education and Requirements If I wanted this job then I would have to complete high school and then from there go to college.After high school and once in college I would have to get a two-year or four-year degree and to be knowledgeable in the areas of textiles, fabrics, ornamentation, and fashion trends.

Money and Hours This job requires irregular hours, overnight travel,and overtime work. The average annual wage for this job is $65,350 a year and the average hourly wage is $31.42.

Money and Hours This job requires irregular hours, and weekend work.the average annual wage is $68,790 The average hourly wage is $33.07
