Presentation transcript:

The Respiratory System Lead: Soledad Woodcock

The Respiratory system Did you know that the respiratory system is at work when you sing, smell, talk, and laugh? Many of the parts in your body are almost coated of mucus. Mucus is a sticky thick fluid that traps dust, germs, and other diseases that may be in the air. Air manly enters in the nose or manly throw the mouth, sinuses are warm and moisten in the air with its hair and layers of mucus air also passes from the sinus to back of the throat and into the larynx. And the larynx contains the vocal cords.

Your Lungs This is the lungs

The Respiratory System This picture is about the Bronchioles, lungs, and the trachea. Did you know that the air leaves from your own lungs and goes into the blood cells.

The Trachea About the trachea and the bronchioles That’s the trachea and the bronchioles tree The trachea is a small tube that carries air from the larynx to the lungs. The trachea leads to two branches called the bronchi that goes right into the lungs, In the lungs these tubes return into smaller and smaller tubes called the bronchioles…

Air Sacs Air Sacks are something where oxygen enters the blood and the carbon dioxide leaves the blood . Did you know that air sacs have a different name that is called alveoli? There is something called the diaphragm that is the dome-shaped muscle that forms the bottom of the chest area, when this weird muscle contracts it moves down and gets flatter and flatter.

The left lung is non-smoking and the right lung is a smoking lung Diseases Diseases The left lung is non-smoking and the right lung is a smoking lung They are some diseases the diseases are asthma, cold influenza, pneumonia, and lung cancer…

This is an newer kind of inhaler People with asthma This is an newer kind of inhaler People that have asthma many have to use inhalers because sometimes when they run and play in gym in school but some people don’t need to have inhalers because they only have a little of asthma and the people with little asthma has to have it…

The Respiratory System This is showing you your lungs and your esophagus

The Respiratory System Did you know that the respiratory and circulatory system works together?
