My five career choices By:Alicia Brumett

veterinarian  Requires 4yrs of college & 4yrs of veterinary medicine  Internships aren’t required.  You have to take the national veterinary medical board exam & a state board exam for the state or states in which you wish to practice.

Veterinarian continued  UCDavis offers a lot of programs.  Veterinary pathology club  Feline medicine club  & a lot more clubs &organizations.  The first five years they make around 30k.  Then they can make up to grand a year.

Nurse  Associate Degree Nurse (ADN): two year degree program.  Bachelor of Science nurse (BSN): Requires a 4 year degree.  Most hospitals pay more if you have a BSN.

Nurse continued  Colorado nurses association (CNA)  Which is located near I-25 and Washington Street in Colorado.  They can make up to 15-40/hr.

Lawyer  Have to be at least 18years old.  Complete two years of undergraduate college work.  Graduate from a State Bar-accredited or American Bar Association-approved law school.  complete four years of study at an unaccredited or correspondence law school, spend four years studying law in a law office/judge’s chambers program

Lawyer continued  Register with the State Bar within 90 days of beginning your law studies.  Pass the First-Year Law Students’ Examination.  Pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination.  Pass the California Bar Examination.

Lawyer continued  $40 to 50 grand per year and can go up to around $110 grand if they become the DA.

Dentist  Eight years of college and dental school studies.  A degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) is required.  Have to pass additional state tests to get the required licenses.

Dentist continued  $130, a year  That's about $62.50 an hour for a 40 hour week

Highway maintenance supervisor for the county  It only requires a High School Education.  You can get promoted to this position by taking a college course in Tree and shrub I.D or Plant ID, and also various college courses.  $33.14 a hour which is about $65,000 a year.
