  100 points (cross out 50 and write 100)  Essentially you are just writing a final report on your topic.  Into paragraph, explain your topic and why you chose it.  Pick your six best sources (at least), one paragraph summary and critique of each.  Summarize your book, citing at least four important passages from it. Explain how your book enhanced your knowledge of the topic.  Concluding paragraph. Summarize the important aspects, issues, and viewpoints. End it with a possible solution. Final Paper

  Intro=1 paragraph  Body:  At least 6 (sources. Can add your other two if you like)  2-4 (book)  Concluding paragraph=1  Total: paragraphs, probably 4-5 pages Total length…

  This Friday:  Blog #4  2 nd page of book notes  Friday the 15 th :  Blog #5  Monday the 18 th :  Annotated Bibliography  Thursday the 21 st :  Final Paper  Blog #6  Tuesday the 26 th :  Presentations are due (hopefully starting that day) Assignments left this year

  Introduction paragraph  Introduce your topic, explain why it is important, why you chose it, and remember to include your thesis (what you think about it in terms of solving it/improving it)  Body paragraphs  Summarize the source in two to three sentences, mentioning only relevant information to your topic.  Critique the source, explaining how it supports your argument regarding your topic, (or if it doesn’t, explain how it is wrong). Incorporate an in-text citation from the source itself.  Remember to use four in-text citations when critiquing your book (and to split it into at least two paragraphs).  Concluding Paragraph  Briefly summarize your overall argument regarding your topic, mentioning how the data supports your position. Propose a possible means to solve or otherwise improve the problem.  Annotated Bibliography  We will discuss this more in-depth tomorrow. For now, it would be wise to format a complete regular bibliography/works cited. Paper structure

  Step 1  Create a works Cited/Bibliography page (easybib or bibme work well here).  Step 2  Write a concise annotation that summarizes the central theme and scope of the book or article. Include one or more sentences that (a) evaluate the authority or background of the author, (b) comment on the intended audience, (c) compare or contrast this work with another you have cited, and (d) explain how this work illuminates your bibliography topic.
