English Language for Study Abroad The Centre for Applied Linguistics offers English language classes for international students. We also organise single workshops in Week 2. See: www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/al for full details of week 2 and week We also offer on-line English learning materials via our web site.

Shape of our provision (Term 1) Term 1 Week 1 No classes. Registration runs from 29 th Sept to 3 nd Oct Term 1 Week 2 Single ‘stand alone’ workshops – no registration required, just come along (subject to space being available) Term 1 Weeks 3 to 10 Weekly classes for those that have been registered.

Classes available Classes available in: Writing & Reading; Speaking & Listening; Pronunciation; Erasmus Advanced English. On-line registration and weekly attendance are required. Priority is given to those that are recommended by department. Sign up on-line as from 29 th September 2014.

Some key points There is no university-based proofreading service available. English classes fill up very quickly, so please sign up early (as from 29 th September 2014). You may be placed on a waiting list. Classes are not suitable for native-speaker or near- native-speaker level of English. Please do not visit the Centre seeking face-to-face discussion with staff regarding your registration.
