Happy or Joyful? Happiness: Often dependent on what is happening to us & the world around us Joy: A profound, compelling quality of life that goes beyond circumstance. Joy is a divine dimension of living.

Happy or Joyful? Happiness is external; Joy is internal Happiness is based on chance; Joy is based on choice Happiness is based on circumstances; Joy is based on Jesus

Joy in the Lord Phil. 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let you gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer & petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts & your minds in Christ Jesus.

Joy in the Lord Paul is reminding the Philippians that  Joy is God’s gift to forgiven people Ps16:11, Jn 15:11; Rom 14:17 AND  Is part of the fruit the Spirit produces - Gal 5:22
