4 Philippians 4 A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON WORRY Nothing can separate you from the love of God (Romans 8:39) Philippians 4:4-5 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” We soften the word ‘worry’ – “I'm not worried… I'm just concerned!"

5 Philippians 4 A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON WORRY One We don't have to worry about the how when we have the who Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” I will do what I can do and trust God to do what I cannot do Philippians 4:8-9 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

6 Philippians 4 A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON WORRY Two We don't have to worry about what you have when you know who truly satisfies Philippians 4:6-7 “I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

7 Philippians 4 A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON WORRY Two We don't have to worry about what you have when you know who truly satisfies Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. (NKJV) Psalm 11:1...in the Lord I take refuge. Psalm 118:8 “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.”

8 Philippians 4 A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON WORRY Two We don't have to worry about what you have when you know who truly satisfies Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the L ORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Acts 16:31 “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.”
