CONNECTION Connections help us learn vocabulary words! Illustrate TWO vocabulary words and write a caption under the illustration. Good illustrations are NOT stick figures. Think of something beyond stick figures with speech bubbles I am a BAD example of an illustration for a vocab word. Can you guess what vocab word from week 1 this represents??

1. 2. Vocab – 20 minutes Create a Frayer model for the 3 words that you didn’t illustrate.

WEEK 3 VOCAB QUIZ Write a paragraph using all 5 words. You do not have to use the words in any particular order. 1.metaphor 2.sacrifice 3.Strategy 4.boycott 5.maneuver Each word must be underlined and spelled correctly. The meaning of the word must be clear in the context of the sentence(s) around the word. Don’t change the part of speech of the word by adding suffixes. You may conjugate verbs, however. If our definition included more than one part of speech (noun or verb, for example), then you may choose either for your paragraph.
