THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32

THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32 I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving. This will please the Lord more than an ox or a bull with horns and hoofs. Let the oppressed see it and be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive! (Psalms 69:30–32 - ESV)

THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32 Psalm 40:16 Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let such as love Your salvation say continually, “The L ORD be magnified!” (NKJV) Psalm 34:3 “O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together.” (NKJV) Psalm 48:1 “Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised...” (NKJV) 1 Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (ESV)

THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32 “I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.” (Philippians 1:20)

THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32 vs.30 "I will magnify God with thanksgiving." Telescope Magnification “Magnify” Making something appear bigger or greater than it is Making something that is big appear to be as big as it really is We are not called to be microscopes but telescopes of God’s glory

THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32 1 Peter 2:12 “Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbours. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honourable behaviour, and they will give honour to God when he judges the world.” (NLT) Telescope Magnification Romans 1:20-21a “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him...”

THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32 “Seeing we do not see, and hearing we do not hear” (Isaiah 6:9 & Mark 4:12) Telescope Magnification God I pray that you would... open the eyes of our hearts that we might know the hope to which you have called us, and what are the riches of your glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of your power in us who believe... (Ephesians 1:18-19) We are so forgetful

THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32 Bless the L ORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the L ORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits (Psalms 103:1-2 – NKJV) Telescope Magnification Psalms 77:11-13 “I will remember the deeds of the L ORD ; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds. Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God?”

THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32 Psalm 147:5 “Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.” The Response That Magnifies God: Thanksgiving Question: What sort of response will magnify God best? vs.30 "I will magnify God with thanksgiving." “Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)

THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32 Psalm 35:27 "Let those who desire my vindication shout for joy and be glad and say forevermore, 'The Lord be magnified!"' (ESV) The Response That Magnifies God: Thanksgiving vs.26 "Let them be clothed with shame and dishonour who magnify themselves against me." At the root of all ingratitude is the love of one's own greatness

THANKSGIVING I Will Magnify God With Psalms 69:30–32 Psalm 50:9–14 I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens, for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine. If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving. And pay your vows to the most high. The Response That Magnifies God: Thanksgiving

Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving. And pay your vows to the most high.” The Response That Magnifies God: Thanksgiving vs.23 "He who brings thanksgiving as his sacrifice honours me."
