Geographically, English is the most widespread language on earth, and it is second only to Mandarin Chinese in the number of people who speak it. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has five official languages: English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese. The influence of these languages upon one another will inevitably increase.

The Commonwealth of Nations It is an association of former members of the British Empire and Britain. It was founded in 1949. It includes 53 countries such as Burma, the Sudan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many others.

Three hundred million people speak English as their first language. They live in such countries as The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
