My Favorite Art

Frozen Assets was painted in 1931 by Diego Rivera. This portrait shows a painting of, in the background, a large colorful, towering city that over looks a small building seen in the inside as people go on with their daily in this city.

I like this portrait because it shows both sides to a great, large city. For one, it shows how the city looks from the outside as a big beautiful structure that always thrives in daylight and the night. Also, this painting shows how still each of the individual people that lives and makes up this city are living their lives like normal.

Cabbage Seller was painted in 1936 by Diego Rivera. This portrait shows a South American man makes a living by traveling around and carrying a large basket full of cabbage and then sells them to people who passes by on the street.

I like this portrait because it shows how one single man makes a living by doing something that is not familiar to how we buy our cabbage in our community. The Cabbage Seller makes his living by working hard to grow his crops to sell to people as food so they may eat and carry on in there lives.

Guitar on the Front of the Sea was painted in 1925 by Juan Gris. This portrait shows a painting that has a guitar resembling object before a great vast sea. This image has structures built of many different objects that were shaped by the artists imagination.

I like this portrait because it shows an unseen type of imagination to me that I have never seen. Each object in this painting is built by even smaller objects that can be seen in every day life or was created by the imagination of the mind.
