DISMISSAL CAR CIRCLE PROCEDURES

0UR GOAL IS TO SAFELY LOAD STUDENTS AND MINIMIZE PARENT WAIT TIME

TO ACCOMPLISH OUR GOAL DAVIS STAFF, STUDENTS AND PARENTS EACH HAVE THEIR PART TO PLAY

DAVIS STAFF WILL MAKE SAFETY THEIR HIGHEST PRIORITY

DAVIS STUDENTS WILL BE ASKED TO PAY ATTENTION TO ANNOUNCEMENTS AND MOVE TO DIRECTED SPOT TO WAIT FOR THEIR CAR.

DAVIS PARENTS ARE ASKED DRIVE CAREFULLY, WATCHING FOR PEDESTRIANS & DIRECTION FROM DAVIS STAFF

12345 AT DISMISSAL BELL CARS ARE LINES UP SINGLE FILE ALONG SCHOOL SIDE CURB. CAR ANNOUNCER WILL BEGIN TO CALL OFF STUDENT NAMES AND WITH PAW PRINT THEIR CAR IS AT.

12345 As first batch of cars is loading and clearing out load zone car announcer will begin to walk down the lane of cars and calling out student names and which paw print for them to go to. Goal is to have students waiting at a paw print for their car to arrive at load zone instead of car waiting for student to find car in zone. Davis Staff at Church Crosswalk will release cars into load equal to number of paws

12345 Drivers should then pull forward fill in all space to crosswalk at far end of load zone Once safe to due so, students will move from paw print areas to their cars As the curb side lane is loading the 2 nd lane will be use to bring in new next set of cars Please do not move forward until directed so that pedestrians can cross during loading period of car circle cycle.

12345 Cars are directed to Second lane as curb lane is loading As cars continue to load Car announcer will continue to queue students to paw prints

12345 Once curb lane is clear of cars student will move from paw print area to their cars. We ask that pedestrians wait until lane is cleared of traffic to cross.

12345 Once the second lane is completely loaded and moving out, Davis staff will release cars through the Church crosswalk to enter loading zone and drive for to meet their waiting students to begin the next cycle of loading.
