AIMS OF INTERREG europeanpolicysolutions To develop regional co-operation in three types of area : Cross-Border (Strand A) Transnational (Strand B – North Sea) Inter-regional (Strand C) Emphasis on innovative projects that are of relevance to the whole North Sea Region

STRENGTHENING RESEARCH TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION Specific objective 2 Enhance regional innovation support capacity so that it will allow regions to effectively increase innovation levels after the end of the funding period and particularly in line with smart specialisation strategies. SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT AND THE REMOVAL OF BOTTLENECKS (THEMATIC OBJECTIVE 7) Priority Investment (7c) Developing environmentally friendly and low carbon transport systems including river and sea transport and multimodal links Specific Objectives Develop demonstrations of innovative and/or improved transport and logistic solutions with potential to move large volumes away from long distance road transportation Stimulate the take-up and application of green transport solutions for goods and personal transport europeanpolicysolutions

ENVIRONMENTAL PRIORITY ACCESS Supporting the shift towards a Low Carbon Economy in all sectors through promoting research, innovation and the adoption of low carbon technologies (Thematic Objective 4) Promoting and restoring biodiversity, soil protection and restoration and promoting ecosystem services including NATURA 2000 sites and green infrastructure (Thematic Objective 6) Supporting industrial transition towards a resource efficient economy and green growth (Thematic Objective 6) europeanpolicysolutions

CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION AND RISK PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT (THEMATIC OBJECTIVE 5) Supporting dedicated investment for adaptation to climate change A maximum of 10% of Programme funds will be allocated to this Measure europeanpolicysolutions
