Global warming is too serious for the world any longer to ignore its danger or split into opposing factions on it -Tony Blair, Sept 27,2005

The warnings about global warming have been extremely clear for a long time. We are facing a global climate crisis. It is deepening. We are entering a period of consequences. -Al Gore, speech at National Sierra Club Convention, Sept. 9, 2005

All across the world, in every kind of environment and region known to man, increasingly dangerous weather patterns and devastating storms are abruptly putting an end to the long-running debate over whether or not climate change is real! Not only is it real, its here, and its effect are giving rise to a frighteningly new global phenomenon, the man-made natural disaster. Barack Obama

Global warming is a gradual increase in the temperature of the earths atmosphere, believed to be due to the greenhouse effect. That is what the dictionary says, but in all truth it is much worse than what it seems. In fact global warming is causing ocean levels to rise because it is melting the polar ice caps. But global warming did not come from just anywhere. The three main factors that are responsible for global warming are the sun, greenhouse gases and earths reflectivity. Also, us humans are not doing much good either. We need to change our ways so that our home (planet earth) can heal and we can live happy healthy lives.

Degrees Fahrenheit years

These graphs are related because they are both increasing at steady rate. You can also notice that at 2000 the graphs were at their peak.

Wind is the movement of air from an area of high pressure to an area of low pressure. People are using wind turbines to make electricity from the wind. This provides a small fraction of the worlds energy. The biggest wind turbines generate enough electricity to heat up 600 U.S homes. People say that Illinois is a wind power leader. Wind power is a renewable resource, so it can be replaced at the same rate it is being used.

1.The sun gives off energy and heat. 2.The climate change creates wind. 3.The turbine is attached to a shaft, which is attached to a gear. 4.That gear is attached to another gear, which is attached to a generator. 5.Inside the generator is a magnet wrapped around a coil of wire. 6.As the magnet spins, its magnetic field moves through the coil. 7.The movement creates and electric current in the alternating current. 8.The current can then power houses and our everyday resources.

Once the wind turbine is built the energy it produces does not cause green house gases or other pollutants The wind is free and with modern technology it can be captured efficiently. Wind energy is completely renewable, highly reliable and very efficient.

Loud People find them ugly Some places around the world don’t get enough wind They harm flying animals Its quieter than an air conditioner. People should recognize their true beauty. You could also have another type of renewable resource for back up They would learn very soon to adapt to the wind turbines.
