Lesson 7: Introduction to the Second Assignment

 Today we will talk about the assignments.  Practical Activities but which give you an understanding of the new assignment.

 Two Parts of the Assignment.  1 st : Assignment Booklet  2 nd : Group Activity. Broken down into small groups of 4 and you must create a powerpoint with a plan to deal with one of these scenarios. You will be the Emergency Services. You are a UPS! 1. Fire on the First Floor Corridor 2. Suspect Package in a classroom. 3. Suspect Vehicle in the Car Park. 4. A student with a gun enters the first floor.

 It will be typed up on the computer and the work shared between the 4 people. 1. Who would be involved? 2. What are the potential threats? 3. What is the plan? 4. Command and Control techniques used? 5. Any problems you can think of? 6. Act out and present the plan to the class.

1. Fire on the First Floor Corridor and students are in classes. 2. Suspect Package in a classroom but no students in the classroom. Location is the first floor car park. 3. Suspect Vehicle in the Car Park at York College.
