OASIS HIGH SCHOOL Charter Renewal Presentation

Mission of Oasis High School Oasis High School will provide a comprehensive, rigorous, and meaningful high school education for year old students who have not been successful in traditional schools, who want to earn their diplomas and prepare for life beyond high school. Oasis High School will engage these students by offering them the supports and opportunities that are critical to their academic and personal accomplishment: A small, safe learning environment in which relationships among young people and adult teachers and mentors can flourish A culture of high expectations that helps them take on meaningful roles and responsibilities A focus on the connection between self and community that makes learning personal, relevant, and stimulating Hands-on real life learning experiences through project based learning and community partnerships

The Future: Continued strong governance Oasis High School is governed by a strong, experienced Board, members of which have helped incubate the school since its inception: Strong governance, fundraising, fiscal accountability Extensive partnerships, community connections The Board of Oasis is committed to preserving what has worked over the past 5 years while taking strategic action to improve the areas in which we have yet to see the original vision for the school brought to fruition.
