Educational Methods The Training Commissioners Network Meeting (TCNM 2014) was held in Porto, Portugal from 8 to 11 May. An internal benchmark study about the various aspects of “Management of Volunteers in Scouting (MoViS)” was conducted during the TCNM. The results will be used to identify what areas are particularly interesting concerning external benchmarking with other volunteer organisations. A European post-congress meeting for the 1st World Scout Education Congress was held in Porto, Portugal from 9 to 11 May. The results will be used in the planning of the next European Educational Methods Forum in spring 2015.

Youth Empowerment Youth Empowerment Group is currently working on a few main areas: 1) Collecting resources on Youth Empowerment topic 2) Supporting young people in advocating for Youth Empowerment by making existing information easier to find and developing new tools 3) Developing training modules on Youth Empowerment

External Relations & Funding Regarding External Relations: YFJ: Marcio Barcelos is running for the board of YFJ for a second term. Consultation on the new work plan is under way. Cooperation with the faith-based organisations is improving, we had a meeting before the last COMEM in April and developed a framework document for our cooperation that is being approved by our respective boards. Council of Europe: Paddy Hennely was elected in advisory council on youth in January and works on youth rights, recognition of NFE and youth entrepreneurship. Regarding Capacity building: successful networking meeting of scouts member of NYC in Brussels last February. successful meeting on funding to coordinate better and exchange good practices work on CSR underway work in external relations strategy underway

Organisational Development ODCG is responsible for maintaining the Global Support (GS) Database of our Region We are coordinating a number of GS actions with numerous organisations We will be supporting the next Academy with most of our members We are also supporting Global Support Assessments in Europe We are working closely with the WSB on the new GS management tool We are also experimenting with an unofficial mentoring programme for succession planning purposes during the Academy

Diversity & Inclusion Scouting is inclusive, respecting differences in gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability. Our young and adult volunteers are powerful agents of social change in the world; their support is essential for their engagement in these issues. Adapting their non- formal educational programmes to be able to provide all young people with meaningful opportunities, reaching out to young people from socially excluded and culturally diverse backgrounds are the main issues that are currently tackled by the group.
