2 Tool of validation and recognition and official certificate validiting and recognising gained key competences within the non- formal learning within the Youth in Action programme. Youthpass (YP)

3 Strategic aims Instruments should be developed in a way that takes full account of three essential elements involved: Reflection on individual non-formal learning process Social recognition of youth work Employability of young people and youth workers YP predicates about earning based on self-reflection and dialogue

4 WHO CAN RECEIVE A YP Every participants of approved YiA project (actions bellow) is entitled to receive a YP: Action 1.1, 3.1 - Youth exchange Action 1.2 – Youth initiatives Action 2 - European voluntary service Action 4.3 and 3.1 - Training and networking For the future it is planned to implement YP also in other actions of the YiA Programme.

5 Who is responsible for issuing YP The co-ordinating organisation is responsible for issuing of YP as well as for assessing of the non- formal learning experiences of the participant The coordinating organisation is obliged to inform the participant that he/she is individually entitled to receive a YP and to issue it to those who are interested

6 When you can get your YP YP can be issued to volunteers in projects approved by February 2007 YP can be issued retrospectively If you are interested in receiving a YP, ask your coordinating organisation!

7 HOW TO CREATE YP it is good to start creating your YP right at the beginning of your project there is a multi-language website www.youthpass.eu where you can find out how to create your YP www.youthpass.eu
