STAY SAFE!! Don’t fall for the same old tricks !!

A Virus is something that people use to get into your electronic device. You should always protect your computer device as viruses can let people take your money or see what you are doing. As I said a virus can let people see what you are doing, let people hack into your computer device, make your device very slow and generally make your life hard.

To get rid of a virus you can … Install software that help you get rid of it but you must use a professional site and don’t do it yourself get an adult who knows what they are doing to get rid of it. Make sure you use a professional site otherwise you can just end up getting more viruses.

The draw backs of an anti-viruses software is that if suddenly when you are in the middle of a piece of work and it just decides to do a check it makes your computer really slow. It may take something like 5 minutes just for the letter you just typed to appear so some people decide not to have them. But it is up to you.

A hacker is somebody who try’s to get into people’s computers and take all their private information. Hackers also try to get into people’s computers to take people’s money. Never trust anyone you meet on the internet

Hackers get into you computer by … 1. Sending viruses onto your computer 2. By s 3. By dodgy games ect.. Hackers do all sorts of damage they try get money by threatening people, they try to knock down the internet and try to see all your personal information.

It’s no all bad though, you can them! You can get firewall - which stops people looking around our computer and you can get anti viruses soft wear which stops hacker coming through to you by viruses. As long as you have all these things you be a lot safer!!

We must back things up because otherwise if something happens to our computer then we won’t have anything left. Backing up is something were you have extra protection for your work so you know you wont lose it.

The things we must back up are… Photo’s Music Important documents Anything special anything important anything you want to keep

The things we can back things up onto are… A memory stick Portable hardrive online print copies out and give them to friends to look after If you don’t back things up you are in risk of losing everything special on your computer.

Remember Stay Safe!!!!!!
