 Your child is placed with one team of teachers and have the same classroom expectations  Mrs. Harris / Language Arts  Ms Brooks/ Reading  Mr. Feiler / Science  Ms Kanazeh / US. History 4

 Letter was sent home from our team explaining our discipline plan.  Students are to follow same classroom rules in every class on our team. We hold high expectations from all of our students. 5

 binder( used for Bellwork and Classwork, journal entry, notes )  composition book  Pen, pencils, etc 6

 Bell work(students will start their class and receive a grade  Classwork ( Agenda)  Question, word, quote of the week  Curriculum ( From American Civilizations to Civil war and Reconstruction 1. lessons are aligned with State Sunshine Standard 2. Focus on reading skills and strategies along with the subject content area 7

Student will receive homework not necessarily every night  Homework assignment will be written on the board, then students could write them in their agenda  Student could finish any incomplete classwork  Projects are given more time ( one, two weeks……)  History Fair project is mandatory Student will be Zapped on the same day of homework due. The child will return his assignment on the second day for 50% 8

New textbook was adapted this year  E-textbook available on Beep( internet)  Hard copy was sent home upon request Pinnacle Parents can check their children grades on line: Student ID # YYYYMMDD 9

 Parent/ teacher conference will be scheduled through guidance office. Contact 8 th Grade Center: Entire team will be in attendance  Interim report / half way through report card in every quarter. 10
