Purpose of Document Detail areas for course teams to consider when planning the development of an award delivered online to distance learners Detail areas for validation panels to explore when considering proposals for online distance programmes

Structure of Document Section 1 Areas to consider for the formal proposal of an ODL award, eg Business case Pedagogic Rationale Operational Infrastructure Support Mechanisms Primarily to prepare for Strategic/Faculty Approval

Structure of Document Section 2 Areas to consider in the development of the course model, structure, delivery and infrastructure, eg Course Design Assessment Student Support Implementation Primarily to prepare for Programme Approval, Review and Monitoring (PARM)
