The Body (1 Corinthians 12:12-14) For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many. (NKJV)

The Body (1 Corinthians 12:18) But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. (1 Corinthians 12:21-22) And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you." No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.

Members of One Another: We Are: Branches of the vine (John 15:5) Living stones of a spiritual house (1 Peter 2:5) Workers in the vineyard (Matthew 20:1-16) Brothers and sisters in a family (Galatians 6:10) Citizens in the kingdom (Ephesians 2:19) Members of the body (1 Corinthians 12:12-26) “A chosen people, a royal priesthood, holy nation, a people belong to God.” (1 Peter 2:9)

Pursue Peace (Romans 14:19) Show Our Love for One Another (Ephesians 4:32) Motivating One Another (Hebrews 10:24) Helping One Another With Sin/Temptation (Galatians 6:2; James 5:16) Encourage One Another (Hebrews 3:13; Hebrews 10:24) Worshipping In Consideration of One Another (1 Corinthians 11:33) Showing Humility (Romans 12:16; Colossians 3:9) Being Honest With One Another (Colossians 3:9) Forgiving One Another and Sticking Together (Colossians 3:13) Comfort One Another (1 Thessalonians 4:17-18) Speak Kindly Toward One Another (James 4:11; 5:9) Be Hospitable (1 Peter 4:9) Gk. “alleon” translated “one another” appears 58 times in the New Testament! Members of One Another “For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3) “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:3-4)

Members of One Another: A Place to BELONG (Ephesians 4:15-16) “…the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” Temptations: Do our part but without love Desiring unity without each member doing their part Desiring unity without love

“Contending” For the Body (Philippians 1:27) Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, (NKJV)
