1 How the Church should function.
The Body How the Church should function.

2 Conduct In God’s House 1 Timothy 3:15 (NASB77) 15  but in case I am delayed, I write so that you may know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.

3 The Head Is Christ Colossians 1:18 (NASB77) 18  He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything.

4 Every Joint Supplies Ephesians 4:15-16 (NASB77) 15  but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ, 16  from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

5 Don’t Hate Your Body Ephesians 5:29-30 (NASB77) 29  for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, 30  because we are members of His body.

6 Employ Your Gifts Romans 12:5-8 (NASB77) 5  so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6  And since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let each exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; 7  if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; 8  or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

7 Many Members 1 Corinthians 12:12-14 (NASB77) 12  For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ  For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit  For the body is not one member, but many.

8 We Are Members Of Christ
1 Corinthians 6:15-17 (NASB77) 15   Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? May it never be! 16  Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a harlot is one body with her? For He says, " THE TWO WILL BECOME ONE FLESH." 17  But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

9 No Excuses 1 Corinthians 12:15-19 (NASB77) 15  If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body  And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body  If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? 18  But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired  And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

10 Forgiving Each Other Colossians 3:13 (NASB77) 13   bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.

11 Doing Good To Each Other
Galatians 6:10 (NASB77) 10  So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

12 Speak The Truth Ephesians 4:25 (NASB77) 25  Therefore, laying aside falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH, EACH ONE of you, WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, for we are members of one another.

13 Admonish One Another Colossians 3:16 (NASB77) 16  Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

14 Do Nothing From Selfishness
Philippians 2:3 (NASB77) 3  Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself;

15 Don’t Repay Evil With Evil
1 Thessalonians 5:15 (NASB77) 15  See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all men.

16 No Complaints James 4:11 (NASB77) 11   Do not speak against one another, brethren. James 5:9 (NASB77) 9   Do not complain, brethren, against one another. James 5:16 (NASB77) 16  Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another.

17 Keep Assembling Together
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NASB77) 24  and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25  not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.
