Overview Writing style became less structured Poetry was used to freely express emotion Authors used more imagination, became spontaneous and expressed their individuality through their works Many authors explored the psychological and mysterious aspects of the human nature

William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge Wordsworth and Coleridge launched the romantic movement in literature with their book “Lyrical Ballads” These men believed that people would “find their deepest meaning in nature” Wordsworth, his sister Dorothy and Coleridge would go on long walks and write on the scenery and beauty surrounding them
