Mission Statement The Mission of the College of Business and Public Administration at California State University, San Bernardino is to create a student-centered learning community that prepares students to become productive members in business, government, and global society. We provide quality undergraduate and graduate programs that positively affect students’ development as professionals. We serve a culturally and globally diverse student body by preparing students to deal with a changing and diverse environment. Through community service, partnerships, and initiatives, the College serves as an intermediary for the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the University, the regional community, and the larger world. Vision Statement We strive to be an exemplary regional educational institution that serves our students, community, and alumni. We will emphasize teaching, partnerships/service to our region, and research in business and public administration. Mission and Vision

What are we about: Purpose: to enable the aspirations of our students and make a difference in our community. Maya Ivanova – CBPA Alum and Business Alliance Member Enabling aspirations

Strategic Plan Teaching and Learning – Teaching is a primary focus, so we must offer the highest quality instruction. Student Access, Retention and Success – CBPA will support students by providing resources beyond the classroom. Enabling aspirations

Strategic Plan Excellence in Research and Creative Activities – CBPA will deliver relevant research as well as output that informs practice and teaching. Campus Community – Our work environment will be respectful, inclusive, and will engage everyone in shared governance. Enabling aspirations

Strategic Plan Community Engagement – The CPBA will enable student aspirations, work to engage local stakeholders, and build a better awareness of our value to the community. Infrastructure – We will wisely and effectively allocate scarce resources and pursue continuous improvement. Enabling aspirations

College Priorities for 2012 Focus on AACSB reaccreditation visit in January Examine program offerings to seek new opportunities and efficiencies and cross program synergies. Diversify our income base. Increase impact on student and community stakeholders and promote college brand value. Enabling aspirations
