What were temples used for? The temples were used for praying and for children to go to school. The women would market there and bring offerings everyday. Who ever went there would be worshipped by the Priest and Pharaohs.

What are the Biggest and Smallest temples in Ancient Egypt? The largest temple in Ancient Egypt was called the Karnak Temple. The smallest temple was called the Buddhist Temple. The picture beside is the Karnak Temple.

Who went to the temple? The ancient Egyptians believed that the temples were the homes of the gods and goddesses. The women would go to the temples everyday and bring food and nice things they had made, they also went there to sell things. The ancient Egyptians went to the temples to pray and when they asked there gods for something and they didn’t get what they wanted they would wack the side of the temple to let there god know that they were not happy. The picture beside is a temple in Ancient Egypt called the “Temple Dynasty”.

What were schools like? The schools in ancient Egypt were very basic. The children only got taught the subjects that they needed for there career. The only boys that were taught maths were the ones that knew they were going to be tax collectors. When the children were younger their fathers would decide there future for them. The schools were very strict! Hieroglyphic writing ^^

Who went to school? Only boys went to school. The women didn’t go. The boys would walk to the school masters house early in the morning everyday. The boys mum’s would pack lunch for them and they would carry it in a basket. The boy’s only went to school until lunch time. This is what they write in ancient Egypt.

Why didn‘t the women go to school? In Egypt the women were treated differently. The Sons in the family go to school and the daughters must stay home and help their parents weather they like it or not. The parents were very strict on the girls. The women and men did not have equal ways to do things.

What do children play in Ancient Egypt? Children in Ancient Egypt plays indoor and outdoor games just like we do today. They were always organized before the children would play the games. In outdoor games the children would play sports, like boxing, wrestling and fencing with sticks. This gives them daily exercise. They didn’t just play sport games they also played one of the most popular indoor game that is called senet. This picture is showing us that the woman is playing senet. The picture below is a senet.
