Best Practices for Research Involving Children and Adolescents Wednesday June 23rd, 4:00-5:30 PM The CIHR Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health and the CIHR Ethics Office are pleased to announce the release for consultation of draft Best Practices for Health Research Involving Children and Adolescents. This document analyses the international norms and standards for ethical engagement with children, adolescents and their families involved in health research. It outlines 10 guidelines to help guide researchers and Research Ethics Boards. Aimed at child and adolescent health research generally, the document also addresses specific issues in longitudinal research, genomic research, palliative care research and novel therapies.
