(3) Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell (cp. Num. 25:1-9)10:8 Israel…and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab. And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.

(4) Presumption: Neither let us tempt Christ (put Christ to the test), as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. (Cp. Num. 21:5ff)10:9 they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!"
