Tenerife, July 27th 2001 INNOCONS Kick-off Meeting ENTRY POINT METHOD

Tenerife, July 27th 2001 INNOCONS Kick-off Meeting ENTRY POINT METHOD The Entry Point Method (EPM) was detailed just after the development of two previous projects CONSIST (BRMA-CT ) and a similar project developed by VTT’s consortium. Together with VTT, we decided to extend the achievements of our methodology to more regions/SMEs. The new concept should be based on the results of our previous experiences. ContextContext

Tenerife, July 27th 2001 INNOCONS Kick-off Meeting ENTRY POINT METHOD EPM is a methodology (operation mode) to technologically assist construction SMEs in paving their road towards RTD and Innovation. The EPM is based on a double strategy:  General approach to the sector.  Individual assistance. IntroductionIntroduction

Tenerife, July 27th 2001 INNOCONS Kick-off Meeting ENTRY POINT METHOD EPM considers the so-called general approach as the best way to achieve two objectives:  Spreading CONSTRINNONET’s & INNOCONS objectives and informing “end- users” about RTD, Innovation, European Commission...  Getting the specific interest of real construction SMEs, potentially interested in our services. General approach

Tenerife, July 27th 2001 INNOCONS Kick-off Meeting ENTRY POINT METHOD EPM is focused on RESULTS. The consortium should provide made-to-measure support, acting as a one-stop-shop for the construction sector concerning RTD, Innovation, technology transfer… Final results: new proposals, partnerships, technology transfers... Individual Assistance

Tenerife, July 27th 2001 INNOCONS Kick-off Meeting ENTRY POINT METHOD EPM should be implemented through: 1. The performance of information &training regional / local seminars. 2. The selection of “target” SMEs. 3. The meeting face-to-face making use of “horizontal experienced technicians”. 4. The exchange of experiences among INNOCONS & CONSTRINNONET partners and provoking a multiplying effect. How to implement it

Tenerife, July 27th 2001 INNOCONS Kick-off Meeting ENTRY POINT METHOD EPM has already been proved to succeed in the sector thanks to the next points: 1. General Approach as the starting point, and as the basis for future interactions with the sector as a whole. 2. Regional or even Local approach bearing in mind the European focus. 3. SME is in the centre of the “picture”. 4. Real and close cases are the best way of provoking the pursued multiplying effect. SUCCESSFUL POINTS

Tenerife, July 27th 2001 INNOCONS Kick-off Meeting SYNERGIES

Tenerife, July 27th 2001 INNOCONS Kick-off Meeting SYNERGIES 1. Sharing Working & Dissemination Meetings. 2. Exchanging partners & ideas. 3. Gathering interesting information released in the Innovation Forum. 4. Producing common material. 5… 6... Starting with...
