UK Resilience Introduced in 3 UK areas September 07 Teaches cognitive behavioural skills Aims: -Build Resilience -Challenge negative beliefs -Teach coping mechanisms

UK Resilience: Delivery Delivered to 350 children in 9 schools in Manchester Year 7 (age 11/12) 2 weeks training for teachers to deliver programme

Evaluation Conducted by London School of Economics Control Group, Pupil Tracking, Questionnaires, Case Studies Positive contribution to Teaching and Learning established Attainment patterns yet to be established

Sustainability: The Future Extension throughout MCR Schools, dependent on evaluation Also the inclusion of Childrens Homes and Pupil Referral Units Extension of training so that programme becomes UK self sufficient Enhanced attainment & resiliency of MCR Young People
