Feb 2012 ESSnet ESEG- Answers from NSIs 3 The questionnaire - A first request based on an idea of Cécile Brousse, - discussed during the first meeting of the Essnet, - then launched (november 2011 –> january 2012) - A short questionnaire (3 pages)  to quickly have an idea of the European context about national socio-economic classifications.

Feb 2012 ESSnet ESEG- Answers from NSIs 6 The answers : Among the 27 NSIs : 12 detailed answers about their national socio- economic classification : (AT, DKx2, EE, ES, FI, FR, HU, IE, NL, PT, SE, UK, +CH) 12 say that they don’t use any socio-economic classification and 3 (CY,EL,MT) only use ISCO (+HR). 3 (CZ, MT, PL) intend to build one. Some NSIs are expecting the ESEG to build, possibly, a national classification or wish to follow our work with interest (and wish to be associated) : BE, CZ, MT, PL, RO, SK (+NO)
