Educational Buildings Teaching classes are classified into 3 types: Large halls with stairs, flat halls and small classes Prepared by Dr. Hazem Abu-Orf, University of Palestine International Large halls -Is designed to absorb well over 200 students; -Is in connection with other educational halls by locating it on the same floor or in the same building; and -It could be located separately by designing it in other building or other floor.

Educational Buildings Flat teaching classes do not have stairs and absorb around 60 students represent a large number of teaching  Small teaching classes absorb around 30 students specified for the below purposes; 1. directed teaching for all 2. teaching in groups 3. Photography Space included: Teaching area (could be used for teaching of other subjects) Studio (the practical part of learning): lightening, the use of photography tools & techniques, storage area is provided Laboratory: dark space, having walls with a surface resistant to chemical liquids to enable cleaning them. Music Workshop It is classified into 3 parts: 1. A hall to teach music designated to the theoretical part of teaching music where it has acoustic door, the use of natural lighting, provided with WC, it has a TV for a display, in addition to chairs with a front board to lay on the music notes. 2. A hall to get training on how to play music mainly used to the practical part, acoustic issue is a key in the design, it has the musical instruments; therefore the entrance door should be wide enough to allow access for such instruments, like piano, it has instrument storage, shelves. The design depends on mechanical ventilation while allowing for natural lighting. 3. Storage Area It has to be designed next to the play music hall and its area is calculated in association with the number of instruments deemed essential. Museum & Exhibition Hall Comprised of a number of exhibition areas to serve displaying the work already done in the Art Faculty. Prepared by Dr. Hazem Abu-Orf, University of Palestine International Drawing Exhibition hall Mosaic & Sculpting Hall Glazed Treasurer depth.8 m & height 1.6 m

Museum & Exhibition Hall Pottery exhibition hall is much similar in its design to the both drawing & sculpting or mosaic one. Prepared by Dr. Hazem Abu-Orf, University of Palestine International glazed treasure are provided with a depth of.4 m and a height of 1.6 m Hand made Souvenir & Diamond exhibition hall.

Museum & Exhibition Hall 1. Lecturing hall It s purpose is to introduce Palestinian art in particular and art developed and taught at the faculty to visitors. Such hall has enough space for 1000 person. Prepared by Dr. Hazem Abu-Orf, University of Palestine International Example of a lecturing hall 2. Storage area designated to receive incoming work before displaying and in addition to any damaged work 3. The museum administration Does include a managing director room, secretary room, meeting room and other spaces for employees. 4. Service : maintenance, stairs & lift, WC, and etc In addition to exhibition halls, Museum includes the following in its program:

Theater Prepared by Dr. Hazem Abu-Orf, University of Palestine International It should have enough space for 1000 persons Its parts are 3 as follows: 1. Introduction space - included key entrances & secondary ones for the public, escape exits and entrances for staff. - assembly space used by the public to gather (enough for 1-6 persons) before or after the show; services have to be nearby (phones, WC & Cafes), doors are looking outwards, surrounded by a number of service spaces: administration; spaces used to safeguard clothes & other belonging; stairs; corridors & WC. 2.Show hall the most important element of the theatre design that consists of: -chairs designed in a certain way (the maximum number of chairs in one row is 14, distance is ranging between cm, dimension of chairs :60/50cm) -Show hall corridors (curving & perpendicular) Curving corridors Perpendicular corridors

Theatre 2 Show hall - height: largely depends on type of use (drama, opera & music), in addition to show hall area & persons. - stairs: 1.5 m wide, 1 m space/100 person,<800= < 250m2 - doors: open inward, 1m wide/100m2. - terraces: used to absorb more persons, 1m2/5 persons. Prepared by Dr. Hazem Abu-Orf, University of Palestine International 3 Stage is used to present the show and includes the following services: -space next to the entrance acting as a distribution point to security room, clothing space & other services (4.5m2). -Security room: located next to the entrance (2.7 m2) -Changing room: 1.5 m2/1person, 9m2 minimum -WC: one WC/6persons, 1 shower/acter - Waiting area: before staff present their work, 4.5 m2 -Music room: is located in underground next to the space of music instruments having an area of 27 m2 -Orchestra floor: underneath the show hall with a depth of 1m, size is 9m2. Library Consists of the following spaces: 1. Library 3. Video section has a storage area for all kind of videos with a shelf width of.15 m, has cabins (.6-.8 m), includes a TV, a space for video group watch 4. Photocopying section is either located in one specific space or delivered in Nemours places 5. Other sections: administration, sort out of new books & storage area 6.
