Can the Teenagers of Israel and Palestine Today Recover From Its Negative Effects? In our opinion, our group thought that it will be hard for the teenagers today in Israel and Palestine to recover from its negative effects. The following slides will explain why we think this. Enjoy~!!

The Arabs and Israelis Conflict Had a Cruel History The Israeli-Palestine conflict started since Israel’s establishment. Israel claimed that Palestine’s land was theirs and kicked them out. As the two nations fought for land, raw violence and disagreements occurred.

The Teenagers Faced, Heard About, or Saw Too Much Violence Suicide attack- an attack where an attacker or terrorist tries to kill or harm other people. Exploding donkeys- where a mule is used as a bomb carrier/ where a bomber hides explosives on themselves while riding donkeys Aircraft hijacking- to take over a plane or aircraft

These Bad Examples Caused Problems to the Teenagers in Israel and Palestine. As these teenagers faced these terrible violent scenes, some began to think this kind of behavior was acceptable. Some teens grew up to be these kind of unacceptable people, such as people who killed or harmed others. Seeing these bad examples caused other people harm too, for example, the villagers who used to live in a village that got attacked by terrorists.

They Have Different Cultures: Palestine’s Culture Languages that Palestinians speak is mostly Arabic, Hebrew, and English. The total amount of people that is Palestinian in the whole-wide world is about million people. The religion the Palestinian people believe in is 75% Islam, 17% Jewish, and 8% of Christians and other religions. Flag of Palestine

They Have Different Cultures: Israel’s Culture Languages Israel people speak is Arabic, English, and formally Hebrew. The population of Israel is about 6,500,389. The religion the Israelis people believe in is 77% Judaism, 16% Islam, 2% Christian, and 2% Druze. Flag of Israel

How One Person Can Make A Change: Habibi (Pg 1) If only all of the people and citizens in Israel and Palestine try, they can stop this disastrous conflict to an end. Here are some of the ways to do so: 1.When there is serious fight or problem going on, try your best to stop it. That is what Liyana’s father, Poppy did in the book, Habibi. He stopped the Israelis soldiers from hurting one of her daughters best friends. 2.Try to solve the problem without or no violence. In the book, Habibi, many people were getting hurt just because they were Israeli or Palestinian.

How One Person Can Make A Change: Habibi (Pg 2) 3. Try to look at the other side’s point of view. Other than just thinking that your side is the good side, imagine how you would think when you were in the other team. Would you still think that they’re the bad guys? 4. Even though you do not like that person, try to be friends with the other teammates. In Habibi, Liyana (whom was Arab) ended up being great friends with Omer (whom was Jewish). 5. Forget the past and start over with a good relationship. Even though there were many crises that will be hard to forget, we should try our best to rise again with a superb bond.

Our Conclusion In our conclusion, we think it will be hard for the teenagers today in Israel and Palestine to recover from their nation’s negative effects if this conflict continues to flow like this. But there is still hope! To stop this crisis to an end, everyone should care about what is happening to our world. Everyone should care about stopping this conflict once and for all. Thank-you for listening to our presentation! - Jessica Um, Amanda Chang, Rosa Lim, and Annie Lee
