GRANGE ADVOCACY Implementation and Roll-Out Plan

Grange Advocacy Plan Vision: “To be the advocate voice for the stewards of rural America”

Grange Advocacy Plan Mission: To support and proactively promote principles, beliefs and policy positions which will: Advance the freedom of speech, religion, business practices and social issues important to rural Americans in general and to Grange members in particular Raise the national profile and public awareness of the National Grange Create a stronger Grange voice in Washington for government affairs platforms Improve the Grange image and effectiveness in Washington

Grange Advocacy Plan Objectives: Proactively involve state Granges, Pomona Granges, local granges and grassroots Grange members to advocate Grange Advocacy efforts. Create funding partnerships to support Grange Advocacy delivery Design a Grange Advocacy marketing platform that profiles the organization’s heritage, demographics, policy positions and other attributes of value to potential partners Build Grange Advocacy issue delivery platforms that include Grange staff, national, state, and local Grange leadership, Grange members and additional expertise as necessary to deliver the desired actions on designated issues

Grange Advocacy Plan Considerations: Grange Advocacy is to be connected at the hip with the National Grange Grange Advocacy will reflect the reputation, culture, philosophy, policy positions and grassroots membership of the National Grange The National Grange is a fraternal/social, rural/agrarian, community service organization by its nature and according to its history Grange Advocacy will reflect “Patrons of Husbandry”, “Family Values- Hometown Roots”, “Stewards of Rural America”, “Looking to the Past-Moving to the Future”
