The Culture - Traditional baskets Basket weaving varies between tribes. An example is, the Makah basket weavers are known for their representations of the sea. The Twana uses cattails while Tlinggit uses Spruce.

Connections Math Concepts The math concepts used in creating Pacific Northwest Basket Weaver are plotting points on a graph and also lines of symmetry. Such as picking the points where you wanted the beads. When there were boxes or lines you had to find the different x and y points.

Demo Design We used the Pacific Northwest Basketweaver software to make our designs.
