3 Short history Arose out of the need of national associations to cooperate and give young researchers a voice at the European level Founded 2002 in Girona, Spain Registered 2005 in Brussels, Belgium 9 founding members – 32 members

Represent doctoral candidates and younger researchers at the European level Promote and support cooperation between national associations Circulate information among young researchers Foster networking between national organisations Bottom-up: supported by the members and the delegates from the national organisations
