Aims and Objectives To introduce participants to the range of electronic information resources and access programmes available to university staff and students in developing countries To allow participants explore for themselves the features of e-resources and e-resource packages in their areas of specialization

Objectives continued To consider the role of university library services in supporting access to information To consider what steps are needed on the ground to maximize information access and delivery in universities in developing countries

Outcomes A knowledge of the electronic information resources available A knowledge of electronic information resource providers and packages A better understanding of the part played by the university library in providing access to information An idea of what needs to be done to ensure that e-resources are accessible in your home universities
