Training Objectives O Build capacity in schools to use Path Driver O Alleviate anxiety about using Path Driver O Maximize efficiency in collecting and understanding data generated by Path Driver O Enable Path Driver users to find their own answers beyond today’s training O Increase student achievement by using data generated in Path Driver to make instructional decisions

Logging into Path Driver O Teachers and students have different log-in windows O Student Path Driver link is only visible from inside the CMCSS network O Student log in is same as what they use for active directory O Teacher log in is auto generated from Power School. Independent Practice O Log into EPS in A Sample School (Trainer will assign usernames and passwords) O Create a class O Add students, copy the class to another program O Assign universal screener to your class O Note the difference in Math and Reading Take a 10 minute break, stretch, play in A sample school, snack and drink machine is downstairs. Restrooms are on both levels.

Reading Universal Screening O ORF- Oral Reading Fluency Grade 1-10 O Maze – Comprehension Grades 2-10 O Early Literacy – K-1 (paper and IPAD) O LIF – Letter Identification Fluency O LSIF – Letter-Sound Id. Fluency O PSG – Phoneme Segmentation Fluency O WIF – Word Identification Fluency O NWF – Nonsense Word Fluency O ORF must be scored manually by teacher O Results may not be visible for 24 hours

Schedule Progress Monitoring O Select Schedule Progress monitoring from either class or student tools O Adjust cut point if necessary (may lower, do not raise above 25) O Determine Instructional or Grade Level (Reading only)

Path Driver Reading Reports O Gray box is ORF O Blue is Maze O ORF at middle school will look very low due to only scoring for students who are very low in Maze

Don’t Forget Help!

Practice Using Reports O Use Data from last year to view reports for your school O Remember you must first create a class to view data O Teams can build classes and share with other teachers by adding them to class O Remember, classes can be deleted without disturbing student data

Administer Diagnostic Tests O Classes Tab, Administer Diagnostic Test O Select the test O Phonemic, Subskills, Word Recognition O Select the Level or type of test O Click link to test (clicking the link logs the teacher out and automatically logs into the student’s account) O Teacher scores test as student takes it (Data is automatically entered into the system) Teacher will have to log back into the system after test
