2010-2015 NJHQ J7 CAX (Atle, Ove, Pål + 4 operators) Still building the org. competance level Plan and execute JTLS exercises alongside J7 Support exercise planning JTLS training – building JTLS operator pool Feed live systems and wargaming in dedicated network DB building, update and maintenance Systemdesign networks/virtualization Integrated part of EXCON

NJHQ uses CAX for Command Post Exercises NJHQ uses CAX for Command Post Exercises. At the moment we are establishing and developing our CAX capabillity, meaning we are not fully operational yet.

THE NOR USE OF JTLS «EXERCISE GRAM» – FEED LIVE SYSTEMS (CPX) Build DB, based on inputs from tactical level Feed live systems (NORCCIS 7 & NEC CCIS) JTLS system is robust, short and insignificant downtime in processes - for running 12 – 24 h operations Need experienced JTLS operators NJHQ very satisfied with JTLS as a Decision Trainer

Manning Primary Training Audience: Norwegian Joint Hq and the Tactical Command Hq’s Tactical Commands: TLC (Tactical Land Command) CTG 430.01 (Maritime) CTG 430.02 (SubOp Auth) NAOC (National Air Ops Centre) SOFC/SOCC NLC (National Logistics Command) CYFOR SIMCON: Total of 25-30 2-3 Tech Control from R&A + 1 Tech Control from NJHQ 4 specialists/Mentors 1 Cax Manager NJHQ 1 Database Manager NJHQ 2 CIS Tech Support (local) 1 NEC CCIS Specialists (Air Tasking issues) 14 JTLS Operators including SITFOR/OPFOR

THE NOR USE OF JTLS (2) WARGAMING (1st experience) Tasked by CHOD Norway to support Military Advise to the MoD 2015. Create DB with desired capabilities (demanding) Play small vignettes from larger scenarios Screenshots to brief results to the commanders (presentations) Needs to be prepared 24 h in advance of presentation (go through) DB based on uncertain inputs/data, Demanding - needs a lot of testing (new capacities/capabillities) Familiarization/experience with the DB and model is essential Wargaming with J5 for Operational Planing/JOPG (plan development)

DISTRIBUTED JTLS Network to all the tactical commands. NJHQ (Bodø) (servers). Tactical commands has a zero client. (Thin client) All tactical commands located at their home base. EXCON is located at NJHQ Operators from J7 CAX is at the tactical commands. Operators report to NJHQ by VOIP. BARDUFOSS (ARMY) BODØ (NJHQ) ØRLANDET (AIR) BERGEN (NAVY) OSLO (MOD, NDLO/ICT, NDRE) STAVANGER (JWC)

Ambitions 2015 – 20xx Database development for several exercises, Table Tops Educate/enable CAX org. for JTLS in wargaming/Budget Based Wargaming (BBW) Participate in relevant environments for lifting competance level/LO exchange Exploit excisting Intentional Agreements with partners for mutual cooperation R&A JWC COE M&S Others in the future !!!! Evaluation and Analysis tools to be used in a systemized way Develop/design JTLS tool for Exercise Coop with Civilian Authorities Contribute to National Concept Development & Experimentation projects.
