Man on the Moon 0 Neil Armstrong was the very first astronaut to walk on the moon. He completed president Kennedy’s pledge to land a man on the moon by the end of the decade. Everyone at home was watching this on TV. It was the talk of the town.

Mary Quant Mary Quant is a British icon and a fashion designer. Quant was the daughter of welsh school teachers. She also got a diploma in art Education from Goldsmith’s College in London. That’s when she met her husband/business partner. That’s when Mary started making her own clothes. Her designs were influenced by Chelsea Beatniks. She enjoyed making clothes so much that she opened up a boutique called Bazaar. She was the first designer to created the miniskirt. The JC pennies store bought her clothes to sell. Her clothes were a hit. She started appearing on makeup and accessories all around. quant/

Hubert de Givenchy H ubert de Givenchy was born in1927. he was born to an aristocratic family in a French town. He got his passion for fabrics by his maternal grandmother. At age 17 he left to look for jobs for fashion in Paris. Later in 1945, Givenchy began his career as an apprentice of Jacques Fath. As he got more popular, he met his muse, Audrey Hepburn in Givenchy's most influential designs was the “sack” silhouette. He encouraged women to show off there legs during the day. He also promoted his very first perfume called L’interdit with the help of Audrey Hepburn. Now he is in his eighties and mainly keeps to himself now. hies/hubert-de-givenchy-biography
