Current Environment Most UK institutions publically funded –Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) funds LJMU LJMU needs to reduce recruitment in 2009/2010 due to over-recruitment in 2008/09 Rationalisation of current portfolio of courses –LJMU strategic focus Enhancing student employability –WoW® (World of Work) initiative Improving student satisfaction and success
