Do you know what’s healthy, and what’s not? Learn How to Recognize Warning Signs. Learn How to Help a Friend in Need.

Agenda/Content Description Monologue – Character will speak from the perspective of a victim of dating violence Introductions – Presenters introduce themselves and their agencies Education – Statistics, Signs of healthy vs. unhealthy dating relationship, description of power and control, dating violence (emotional, physical, sexual abuse) Media Examples – Yeardly Love, Natalee Holloway, etc. Will allow students to connect the issue to real people and see consequences and red flags. Monologue Character returns for question / answer period – will allow girls to ask questions of the character to understand how they could help as a bystander. Bystander Intervention Training – Tools and skill building on how to recognize red flags and appropriate ways to help a friend in need. - video clips; dialogue training; scenarios Final Q&A Evaluation
