2  Your family, friends, teachers and the media affect the way you see yourself.  Gender is directly linked to your identity.

3  Gender does not only say you are male or female. It also includes the roles of men and women and their relationships.  Gender focus therefore on equal treatment for men and women.  Do you think men and women should be treated differently based on their gender?

4  Young people, whether they are boys or girls, have opportunities to participate in activities.  Gender equality in sports is also hindered by issues such as traditional beliefs, meanings and gender- stereotypes.

5  Gender based violence is violence between men and women, where women are usually injured and victimized  Stereotypes, negative attitudes toward men and women and cultural influences also causes gender-based violence.

6  We must be aware of the very serious emotional, health and social impact of rape and gender-based violence.

7  Prevention of violence against women must be immediately and continuously happening.  Laws on sexual offenses was implemented to help women be protect against possible abuses.  Informed and aware of the facts about these issues.

8  Women and girls who are victims of gender-based violence and rape are able to get help and support.
