JESUS – Showing us the Father   Jesus shows us the nature of God, being God Himself (Jn. 14:8-9)   “Immanuel” = God with us   God in the flesh (Jn. 1:1, 14; Phil. 2:6-7)   Will of Father now revealed through the Son (Heb. 1:1-2)

Creator and Sustainer   Acts 17:24-28   “In the beginning, God…” (Gen. 1:1); Creator (Gen. 1:31; Heb. 11:3; Psa. 33:9)   “In Him all things consist” (Col. 1:15-17)   To deny the existence of the Creator is to be a fool (Psa. 14:1)

Triune God   One God (Deut. 6:4; Isa. 45:5); not “polytheistic” (many gods – idolatry)   Plurality of persons united in the one essence of deity (Gen. 1:26-27; Gen. 11:7)   One divine essence [God] and three that share that essence (Jn. 1:1; Matt. 1:20; Lk. 1:35)

God is Spirit   John 4:24 – “God is spirit” – not flesh and blood   Man is made in God’s image (Gen. 1:26- 27); man has an immortal spirit (Eccl. 12:7)   As spiritual beings, we can partake of the divine nature (2 Pet. 1:4)

God – the Perfect Judge   Perfect knowledge (1 Jn. 3:20)   Perfect law/standard (Jas. 1:25)   Perfect love (Jn. 3:16)   Perfect impartiality (Rom. 2:11; Deut. 10:17)

God – the Perfect Judge   Perfect mercy, compassion, and forgiveness (Micah 7:18-19)   Perfect wrath (Nahum 1:2-3; Rom. 1:18)   Perfect timing (Acts 17:31)   Perfect reward and punishment (Matt. 25:46; Rom. 2:6-8)

What We Would Not Know Without Knowing God  How we came to exist  Our purpose on earth  An absolute standard of right and wrong  His immeasurable love for us Knowing God is our Greatest Need!
