 Production fishing  Farming in fishing districts

 Fishpond management – the main part  Breed of salmonidaes (brown trout)

 Pond = an artificial lake  Stabile production of fish  Balanced production  Without overproduction  Without market and price swings

 In the Czech republic there are ha of ponds and little artificial reservoirs  ha serve for fish breeding  In all ponds there are 400 million m 3 of water  Siltation is a big problem (200 million m 3 )

 Market fish production t/year  Life fish sales %  Processed fish sales - 10 %  Export 47 – 50%  Carp 86 – 88 %

 Half of weigh increase is from natural food (bentos, zooplankton)  Supplementary feeding = energy component  High quality of meat

 Retention of water  Flood protection  Biological water cleaning

 Nesting of birds  Territory for animals  Relaxation  Biodiversity

 We teach specialist subjects › hydrochemistry › fishpond management › fishing technologies  Practical training is specialized for freshwater fish breeding  Training fellowships at our partner schools: › Norway, Poland, France, Slovakia  Driving licence for a car, a tractor, a lorry  Licence for a brush cutter, a motor saw Apprenticeship Fisherman Apprenticeship Fisherman

 Unique branch of study in the Czech republic  Specialist subjects of ecology, fishery and water management  Research fellowship at our partner schools: Norway, Poland, France Study branch – water management
